Visual Explainer Engine
Turn vague ideas into simple visuals people share — without being a designer
JUDGE FIRST: every concept passes three checks before a single line gets drawn. Delivered fast (does it survive three seconds of scrolling). Elegantly articulated (is it said in a fresh way, not just stated). Amplifies the idea (does the visual take it somewhere the sentence could not). One idea per visual. The lower your credibility, the simpler the visual has to be. CAPTURE: idea drought is a capture problem, not a creativity problem. Capture feelings and thoughts, not just finished ideas. Capture metaphors as empty containers with nothing in them yet, so that when you have an idea and no way to show it you go shopping in your own list. Consume deliberately inside your niche. Two storage rules only: syncs everywhere, fast to input. And do not organise it — sorting an idea bank produces zero creative return. DEVELOP: name the reaction you want to evoke, then work backwards. Seven tactics do the work — feelings, metaphors, painting the scene, characters, hidden truths, comparison, and classic elements mixed with metaphor. Pair the caption with the visual so each carries weight and neither repeats the other. Make the visual speak on its own, and leave the last step for the audience to finish. VISUALIZE: three rules put you in the top few percent — layout (alignment and grouping), harmony (one line weight, one font, one family), and colour contrast (weight and saturation are currency, spend them on one thing). Then the craft: white space, label in place instead of legends, never rotate text, hierarchy follows reading order, and tracing as the technique that makes a non-designer look skilled.
