The Last Check Before You Publish

You are about to hit post, and something about it still feels off.

Copywriting·Beginner

The worst moment is not writing badly. It is reading something back an hour after you sent it and seeing the line you would never have said out loud. This is a review you run before that happens, on one finished piece at a time. You write two short notes once, in your own words: how you sound, and what you never say. From then on the seven checks judge your draft against those notes and against the request the draft was written from, not against anybody else's house style. It quotes the exact sentence at fault, tells you which fixes it can make from what is in front of it and which ones need a real number or example only you have, and it stops after two rounds instead of sanding your writing down forever. It is also blunt about its own soft spots: four of the seven checks are opinions, and the file says so in plain words rather than dressing them up as results.

What's Inside

Seven short checks over one finished draft, each one marked pass, warning or fail
A seven line scorecard with a single verdict: ship, revise or rewrite
A fill-in-once note about how you sound, so the review judges your draft against your own words
A fill-in-once list of lines you never cross, where one hit stops the piece no matter how good the rest is
A fix loop that quotes the exact sentence at fault and caps itself at two rounds instead of rewriting forever
It separates fixes it can make now from fixes that need a real number or example only you have, and names those before it starts
A hard rule against inventing a number, a result or an example to turn a fail into a pass
Checks that mark themselves CANNOT RUN when you did not give them the request, instead of quietly passing
Seven ground rules on what never goes into a published piece, including another company's screenshots and a client's numbers
Two worked examples: one that ends in ship after a single round, and one that honestly hands the draft back with the missing piece named

Best For

Freelance writers who send client work and want a second pair of eyes firstSolo business owners who write their own posts, emails and sales pagesAnyone who just had an AI tool draft something and is about to accept itPeople who send a newsletter and cannot unsend itGhostwriters who have to sound like somebody else on purposeSmall teams with no editor, where whoever wrote it is also whoever approves it

Before you buy

No subscription and no paid service is needed, but there is real work on your side. You write two short notes by hand first, which the file says takes about ten to fifteen minutes, and without them two of the seven checks have nothing to compare your draft against and will pass everything. There is no memory between sessions, so every run you paste in four things: the draft, those two notes, and the original request the draft was written from. Two checks are marked CANNOT RUN if you cannot supply that request, and one more check can never reach a pass unless you also paste in a real existing piece of writing on the same subject. It cannot check whether a fact is true, only flag a number with no source, and four of the seven checks are opinions from an assistant that may be grading writing it produced itself.
